OUTTA SIGHT, in association with Real Side Records, presents Soul On The Real Side #3… 20 more ”real soul” gems from the Modern side of Northern Soul.
The hits keep coming on this “Best Ever” selection from Real Side Records featuring established modern soul classics, new-to-CD forgotten oldies and contemporary recordings. This all-new selection includes Real Side artists Roy Hemmings on two productions – “You Got It” plus “If Loving You Is All I Have To Do” - and Walter Thomas who makes a welcome return with his self-penned “Getaway” from 2008. Jesse Gomez also returns with his latest, previously unreleased, 2014 recording “The Walk”, a superb L.A. stroller. Star tracks must include Al Green with his stunning return to secular music “Keep On Pushing Love”, R. Kelly with his feel good throwback “Share My Love” and Angie Stone with her homage to the O’Jays “Wish I Didn’t Miss You”. The O’Jays reappear on their 1972 Little Star production, “Just To Be With You”, courtesy of H B Barnum who also showcases The Nights with their Mecca oldie “Love Knocked You Down”
Look out for the Fantastics featuring Sulene Fleming on the sublime “Somewhere Finally”, Convertion’s rarity “All I Want Is You” and Odyssey with the epic “Native New Yorker” featured here in all of its 12-inch glory.
